The Forensic Science Major Curriculum



The Forensic Science Major is presented in two concentrations - Biology or Chemistry. The average course load is 15-16 hours based on eight semesters.


Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science-
Biology Concentration –
125 hours

General Education Requirements:

Written Communication – 6 hrs.

Oral Communication – 3 hrs.

Social Science & Humanities – 12 hrs.

Mathematics and Science – 12 hrs.

Other – 9 hrs.

Program Requirements:

Natural Science Core Courses – 27 hrs.

Specialized Science Courses – 12 hrs.

Forensic Science Courses– 20 hrs.

Additional Courses – 20 hrs.

Additional Requirements – 4 hrs.
