Psychology…The Sky’s the Limit!

Trine University’s Psychology major is one of the more popular majors on campus, offering a solid education in this behavioral science through diverse course offerings, covering forensic psychology, abnormal psychology, psychology of addiction, counseling, personality, human sexuality, and marriage and family. The psychology major prepares the student for employment in a wide variety of community settings or for graduate degrees. Many students combine psychology by double majoring in Criminal Justice, one of the nation’s fastest growing job fields.

Explore. Experience. Excel.

The Psychology program offers students the option of taking practicum courses during their college career, internships which allow a practical, hands-on experience in psychology and related areas. Students have completed internships in school counseling settings, hospital psychiatric wards, community mental health centers, victims assistance programs, group homes, and children’s camps, among others. Through these experiences, students gain valuable work experience, which links them with opportunities for employment upon graduation.
