Thunder Wrestling Coaching Staff
Head CoachDan Callahan Dan Callahan launched the Thunder wrestling program in 2004. During his eight seasons, the Thunder have compiled a 61-52-1 record, including winning the Mid-States Conference title in 2009-2010, as well as being NCAA Midwest regional runner-up in 2009 and 2010. Callahan also has been named as the Mid-State Conference Coach of the Year in 2006-2007 and 2009-2010. Under Callahan, the program has produced a two-time NCAA All-American and 11 Academic All-Americans. Entering the 2012-13 season, his career record, including 19 years as a high school wrestling coach is 328-165-9. Prior to coming to Trine, Callahan coached at the high school level for 23 years, including 19 as a head wrestling coach. Callahan is a graduate of Rochester High School, Rochester, Ind. and Alma College, Alma, Mich. Coach Callahan resides in Fremont with his wife Cindy, a fourth grade teacher, and has two children, Megan and Kyle.

Assistant Coach Andy Uhl Andy Uhl joined the Trine wrestling staff in the fall of 2012. Uhl came to Trine after a successful wrestling career at Division II University of Findlay where he earned a degree in Hospitality Management. While at Findlay, Uhl was a four-time All-American; Academic All-American; and Regional Champion. After a 6th place finish as a freshman at 125 pounds, Uhl captured the NCAA Division II crown in his sophomore season at the 133 weight class. Uhl would finish his career with runner-up and 6th place finishes in the 133 division. Prior to attending Findlay, Uhl was a four-time Indiana State Wrestling Qualifier while attending East Noble High School. In his senior year, Uhl finished second in the state tournament at 125 lbs.
