Ecology is more than just plant life to Bill.
B.S., Ph.D., University of Illinois at Chicago
I enjoy the outdoors and its conservation. Educated in plant ecology, I spend my summers growing native plants for restoration projects, managing restorations, researching restoration techniques, assessing restoration quality and investigating the propagation of unusual species.
I teach general biology, plant biology, genetics, embryology, environmental biology, conservation, general ecology, field trips in ecology and senior research.
I have worked for the National Biological Service, the U.S. Energy Department, The Nature Conservancy of Illinois and The Wetlands Initiative, researching natural areas and restoration techniques. I enjoy kayaking, gardening and skiing.
