Amy has taught in almost every classroom setting imaginable
B.S., Tri-State University; M.A., Western Michigan University
From preschools to high schools to prisons, Amy Nicholls' experiences have shaped her for her career at Trine University.
Teaching is more than just what I do, it is a part of who I am. I have taught in preschools, middle schools, high schools, alternative schools, colleges and even inside the barbed-wire fences of a medium-security prison. Each classroom has brought unique challenges and rewards. My experiences, in turn, have made me a better teacher.
Teaching at Trine is a homecoming, of sorts, for me. As a 1997 Tri-State University graduate, I am excited to have the opportunity to impact my students in the same way that my favorite TSU professors (some of whom are now my colleagues) impacted me.
My husband, Scott, and I have two children, Mason and Jocelynn. I love to spend time with them. When I have a moment to myself, I enjoy curling up on my front porch swing with a good book and a cup of coffee.
