Christina is from Texas and her teaching is BIG.B.S. Hardin-Simmons University, Abilene, Texas. M.S. in Applied Math from Purdue University I moved from Texas to northeastern Indiana 12 years ago. Through teaching high school mathematics, English as a Second Language, GED classes and part–time in the math department at another institution, I discovered my calling to work with adults to achieve goals. I joined Trine in 2006, teaching business algebra, applied math, elements of math, college algebra, calculus I, calculus II and statistics. I serve on the General Education Assessment Committee and as adviser to Alpha Chi National College Honor Scholarship Society. In May 2009 I received the Robert Ewing and Gail Stewart Smith Excellence in Teaching Award in Arts and Sciences. I work for the College Board as a reader for the advanced placement calculus exam, and love spending time with my husband, Brian, and daughters, Haley and Kylie. I also enjoy friends, church activities, reading, music (the piano especially) and baking. I am pursuing a Ph.D. in mathematics education at Western Michigan University. I love and feel privileged to work with students interested in teaching high school or college. My door is always open. |
