It is my pleasure and privilege to serve as vice president for academic affairs at Trine University. Prior to arriving here in 2007, my academic leadership experiences included working as dean of a large school of Arabic at the Defense Language Institute in California and as director of the Intensive English Program at the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. Although my focus has been on academic administration, I still maintain a research agenda by publishing and regularly presenting at professional conferences.
I love to travel, greatly value multicultural experiences, and have spent over 13 years of my adult life overseas pursuing opportunities to interact with people of different cultural backgrounds.
At home, I enjoy working in my yard, watching movies, and reading novels, but by far my most important and rewarding avocation is spending time with my family.
