Trine recognizing Engineer's Week
Lab demonstrations planned for open house
In recognition of National Engineer’s Week Feb. 15-19, Trine University will host an open house Friday, Feb. 19 from 1-3 p.m. in Fawick Hall.
Each of the departments in the Allen School of Engineering & Technology will provide laboratory demonstrations during the walk-through event. The Reiners Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering will demonstrate the action of a hydraulic flume, a model of water flow over a dam spillway, in Fawick 011 in the lower level.
The Department of Technology will demonstrate rapid prototyping in Fawick 138 on the first floor, while the Wade Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering will demonstrate metal casting techniques in the foundry across from Fawick 149.
The McKetta Department of Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering will demonstrate a distillation column in Moore Lab on the first floor, and the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department will demonstrate motors and generators in Fawick 212, second floor.
