Two Trine music concerts scheduled

April 13, 2010--Trine University music groups will present two concerts at Fairview Missionary Church, 525 E. C.R. 200N, Angola, on Sunday at 3 and 5:30 p.m.

The Wind Ensemble and University Choir will present a final concert for the season at 3 p.m. The Wind Ensemble will perform a program of classical wind band literature like “Symphonic Overture,” to music based on old American hymns and Irish folk songs. 

The University Choir will deliver a wide variety of music, from Mozart to numbers from the musical “Wicked.” Broadway show tunes, classical, barbershop, light pop, Latin and other song types will also be performed.

The Three O’Clock Jazz Band and Four-Thirty Jazz Band will present an evening of big band and jazz music at 5:30 p.m. Trine music director Mark Kays and choral director Beth Stepp invite the public to attend both concerts, which are free of charge.
