Trine trustee testifies before Senate subcommittee
WASHINGTON – According to local media outlets, Trine trustee and Steel Dynamics chief executive officer Keith Busse was invited by U.S. Sen. Dan Coats (R-Ind.) to testify about the importance of trade enforcement during a recent Senate Appropriations Homeland Security Subcommittee Hearing.

Coats, a ranking member of the subcommittee, discussed the importance of federal trade laws to Indiana manufacturers that rely on anti-dumping and duties to protect against unfair imports during a Senate Appropriations Homeland Security Subcommittee hearing.
According to KPC Media Group, Busse explained that Hoosier manufacturers affected by these laws include steel, pipe and furniture manufacturers. Busse spoke about ways that trade enforcement can increase sales for American companies, resulting in job growth and deficit reduction.
