Trine launches mobile website
ANGOLA, Ind. – People can now connect with Trine University anytime and anywhere on Android and Apple mobile devices. The university launched its mobile-friendly website, allowing anyone to read the latest news and check campus information.
Those who visit trine.edu on a mobile device will automatically be redirected to a mobile version of the website. The site features user-friendly navigation that allows users to check daily and weekly menus at Whitney Commons, check e-mail and lookup faculty and staff contact information. Those who prefer to access Trine’s full website may do so by clicking “full website” after accessing the mobile version.
The site also allows users to read quick facts about the school, check out area attractions, get athletic information and learn about scholarship and financial aid information, as well as visit pages for campus safety, the business office, career services, student housing and student activities.
“More and more people are using their mobile devices to access information the Web,” said Trine’s interactive marketing specialist Niclas Hulting. “We want to make sure we are taking advantage of new technologies that allow us to better connect with prospective students, community members, alumni, faculty and staff, and most importantly, current students.”
The mobile version of Trine’s website is meant to supplement the existing website. The mobile site will continue to grow as the university conducts usability testing to learn more information that should be shared in a mobile-friendly manner.
