to speak, sign books Nov. 17 at Trine
W. Thomas Beckner, author of 'Correctional Chaplains' to speak
ANGOLA, Ind. – W. Thomas Beckner, author of “Correctional Chaplains: Keepers of the Cloak,” will be on Trine University’s campus for a presentation and book signing Saturday, Nov. 17.
Beckner, director of chaplaincy services and program development at Bridges of America, based in Orlando, Fla., will speak at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 17 in Wells Theater, Taylor Hall. A book signing will follow from 11 a.m. to noon in Wells Gallery. Beckner is also the former director of Trine’s master’s degree program in criminal justice.
“Correctional Chaplaincy: What it is; What it isn’t; How it works” is the title of his presentation. His visit is sponsored by Trine’s criminal justice program and the Steuben County Jail Ministry.
