Trine ushers in holiday season
with free concert, tree display
Bon Appetit's holiday dinner
is part of Dec. 2 festivities
ANGOLA, Ind. – Trine University gives a nod to the holiday season with a free concert and display of decorated trees in the Rick L. and Vicki L. James University Center.
Trine’s Jazz Bands and Percussion Ensemble will perform seasonal songs for an hour beginning at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, in Fabiani Theatre in the university center.
Visitors to the university center will also be able to view three dozen trees decorated and illuminated for the holidays by Trine student groups and departments. All trees will be donated to Project Help of Steuben County for distribution to area families in need.
Immediately after the concert, Bon Appetit will offer a holiday dinner in Whitney Commons, also in the university center, until 6:30 p.m. Cost is $10.80 for adults, $5.40 for children 6 to 12 and free for children 5 and younger.
At the door, concert-goers may donate dish soap, Pine-Sol, scouring powder, facial tissues and shower cleaner. All items will be given to Turning Point Homeless Shelter.
