Trine offers 60 percent summer tuition discount

ANGOLA, Ind. – In an effort to assist area students with rising educational costs, Trine University will offer more than 100 courses at a 60 percent discounted rate during its summer session and Maymester.

Whether getting a jumpstart on college, getting ahead for future semesters, freeing up some time in the fall or catching up on credits at home over the summer, Trine has a multitude of options to help area students.

“We want to be attentive to controlling education costs and making higher education affordable for all students – regardless of the school they attend. We want to help them meet their goals so that they can stay on track to earn degrees and pursue their careers,” said Trine president Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D. “Trine is a tremendous resource for students throughout this region, and we want to step up to do all we can to help.”

Courses will be open to all students either seated, on the Angola main campus or online. Trine's School of Professional Studies has a different fee schedule, making this discount unavailable to that student base.

Knowing the hectic schedules of families in the summer, Trine will give students the option of taking three-, six- or 12-week courses from mid-May to August.

Three-week sessions will be offered during “Maymester” from May 14-June 3. During that time, Trine will give students – regardless of their collegiate affiliation – opportunities to travel abroad or take intensive courses that delve into numerous topics. Discounted housing also will be available at the Angola main campus throughout the summer.
