The Department of Technology invites applications for a full time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank for instruction in the field of design engineering technology commencing tentatively January of 2013. The ideal candidate will have experience in undergraduate instruction in technology related courses such as three dimensional solid modeling, statics and strength of materials, mechanisms, materials and processes, machine design, finite element analysis, product design and analysis, project engineering, CNC, and rapid prototyping technology. Typical design software used includes SolidWorks, Unigraphics, AutoCAD, and FeatureCAM. In addition, the candidate is expected to have relevant industrial experience to ensure our students competently enter the workforce with a high level of design creditability.It is likewise expected that the candidate will be deeply involved in curriculum development.

The successful candidate is expected to have strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be committed to excellence in education. The position requires a Master’s degree coupled with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is assumed. In lieu of tenure, the University offers term contracts from 1 to 5 years, depending on academic rank and years of service. The Department of Technology offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Design Engineering Technology.
