Mission and Objectives
In concert with Trine University and the Allen School of Engineering & Technology mission statements, the mission of the chemical engineering program at Trine University is to provide higher education in chemical and bioprocess engineering by providing a learning environment in which students receive personal mentoring through small classes and excellent teaching. The program prepares graduates to succeed, lead and provide service to their employers, profession and society.
To meet this mission, a graduate from the McKetta Department of Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering must be able to demonstrate the following program objectives (numbers) and student (so) and alumni outcomes (ao) (letters):

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering - 132 hours
Written Communication - 6 hrs.
Oral Communication - 3 hrs.
Social Sciences & Humanities - 12 hrs.
Mathematics & Science - 49 hrs.
Freshman Studies - 1 hr.
Engineering Science - 5 hrs.
Analysis and Design - 40 hrs.
Professional Development - 1 hr.
Chemical Engineering Elective - 6 hrs.
Free Electives - 9 hrs.
