Martin Sellbom, 2000.

TSU Graduate Martin Sellbom

Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, U. of Alabama Clinical program (psych law emphasis). Dr. Sellbom received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Kent State University and completed his APA-accredited internship at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, Ontario. He also completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Kent State University, with an emphasis in personality assessment and forensic psychology. Dr. Sellbom's research focuses on the integration of personality and psychopathology, personality assessment with the MMPI-2 and MMPI-2-RF, and response bias on assessment instruments. His work has been featured in over 40 scholarly publications and he has been awarded over $150,000 in grant funding over the past three years to support his research. He has also won several awards, including the Society for Personality Assessment’s Samuel and Anne Beck award for early career achievement.

Dr. Sellbom serves on the editorial boards of Psychological Assessment, Assessment and Journal of Personality Assessment as well as a regular ad hoc reviewer for numerous other journals, including Journal of Abnormal Psychology. In terms of clinical work, Dr. Sellbom specializes in court-ordered forensic psychological evaluations.
