Still Deciding?

Your education is just beginning, so it makes sense if you’re not ready to commit to a major as a freshman at Trine University. Our primary goal is to prepare you for an outstanding, lifelong career. Discovering exactly what you want for your future takes time and exploration.

Great Support
The best way to experience life’s possibilities is through a strong community of support. At Trine University, as you become interested in various fields of study, you’ll receive career guidance from professors working within the fields you enjoy. Our focus on practical educational experiences in state-of-the-art facilities—along with personal attention from faculty—will help you to ultimately make the most informed decision possible about your future studies. In addition, you’ll make close friends with other students who are as eager as you are to explore and experience Trine.

Many Choices
Trine’s century-old tradition of academic excellence combines with growing, evolving programs and more than 30 majors that lead to lifelong careers in engineering, business, criminal justice, communication, education, informatics, hospitality/tourism management, science, and sports management, among others. Our degree programs fall under the University’s four schools:

Undecided Majors
Having so many educational options can make it difficult to decide on the best major for you. At Trine, you can have additional time to make this very important decision by declaring yourself undecided in regards to an academic major. With the undecided designation, you’ll have the entire freshman year to decide upon and declare an academic major. In the meantime, you’ll be assigned to the Jannen School of Arts and Sciences.

For those who would like more time to decide on a major to pursue, I invite you to enroll at Trine University as undecided. Best wishes on your academic experience at Trine University!
