2013 Spring Season Preview

After a fall season under head coach Van Brandt in which Trine placed sixth at the two-day MIAA Championship, the women’s golf team looks to move forward with five invitations this spring. The team will start its season in California with a dual match with South Dakota State.

The women’s team started the fall season off with a bang with a third-place finish in the Trine Kickoff Classic and then won the Speiss Invitational for the second straight year. The Thunder turned in its best Jamboree performance at Olivet, placing fifth. The squad will be led by freshman Amy Worthington, who posted back-to-back wins in her first collegiate tournaments in the fall. The lineup will also feature seniors Allie Buttery and Lauren Burns, who look to help the Thunder rebound as a team from a tough fall season.
