Kappa Beta Gamma
Kappa Beta Gamma is the newest edition to Trine University’s Greek Life just being installed on July 9, 2011. Kappa Beta Gamma was nationally founded on May 14, 1947 and internationally founded on April 2, 2011. Our National affiliation along with the support of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA) and the Fraternity Executive Association (FEA) give us a sturdy base to build upon.
Founded on Christian beliefs at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, Kappa Beta Gamma was originated on the beliefs of sisterhood, loyalty, fidelity, charity, and our main pillars love and faith. Some of our objectives are to; encourage high scholarship, assist in the building of character, promote college loyalties, perpetuate friendship, develop and encourage social ties and to develop sisterhood within the membership.
Our Chapters across the United States and in Canada donate limitless time, talent and money to local philanthropies as well as our International Philanthropy, the Special Olympics.
Our Mission Statement: “The Sisters of Kappa Beta Gamma International Sorority are an organization dedicated to improving its members morally, socially, and intellectually. As friends, we are committed to bettering our schools and communities by offering leadership opportunities during and beyond our college days.”
At Trine University the sisters of Kappa Beta Gamma are looked upon as leaders, friends, helping hands and noble women. Starting from our roots, we treasure each sister’s individuality and embrace all they have to offer. We are involved with various organizations and athletics including Habitat for Humanity, Christian Campus House, Society of Women Engineers, Softball as well as Track & Field, just to name a few. Kappa Beta Gamma is new to campus but we will strive to be a valuable addition to the University, Greek Life and the community.
