Distinguished Speaker Series presents Tino Martinez- 7:00 pm

Tino Martinez

Trine University's Distinguished Speaker Series presents Tino Martinez who through a question and answer session will discuss his experience as an American former professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, and Tampa Bay Devil Rays from 1990-2005. During his 16-year MLB career, he scored 1,008 runs, drove in 1,271 runs and hit 339 home runs. He had 100 or more RBI in six different seasons and was twice named to the All-Star team. Martinez, along with other future Major Leaguers Jim Abbott and Rob Ventura, won a gold medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. In the final game, Martinez belted two homers and drove in four runs and Abbott pitched a complete game, leading the USA to a 5-3 win. To read Mr. Martinez's full bio.

Distinguished Speaker Series presents Richard Wilhelm- 10:00 am

Richard Wilhelm

Trine University's Distinguished Speaker Series presents Richard Wilhelm who will sit down with President Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D. to discuss his experience in the Clinton administration, cybersecurity, civil liberties and national security.

Richard Wilhelm is a Senior Executive Advisor at Booz Allen Hamilton. Prior to joining Booz Allen in 1998, Wilhelm had a 29-year career in government as a military intelligence officer and civilian appointee, including Executive Director for Intelligence Community Affairs during the Clinton Administration and service on Vice President Al Gore’s national security staff, where he was responsible for intelligence, terrorism, and a range of global national security issues. As a U.S. Navy officer, he co-directed the Joint Intelligence Center for Iraq during Operation Desert Storm and was the first director of information warfare at the National Security Agency.  To read Mr.Wilhelm’s full bio.
