The Marshall Tucker Band

For decades, the Marshall Tucker Band has been one of the greatest Southern rock bands of all time, changing the sound of ’70s music with hits such as ‘Heard It in a Love Song,’ ‘Can’t You See’ and ‘Fire on the Mountain.” From their first LP in 1973, to their powerful stage presence today, the Marshall Tucker Band remains as a powerful force in the world of music.

The Messiah - 7:00 pm

Handel's Messiah is the most performed piece of music in the Classical literature today.  It is also considered the best setting of the English language to Classical music.  This monumental work encompasses the birth, life, and resurrection of Christ into one tour de force piece of music for chorus, orchestra, and soloists.  The Steuben County Festival Choir, under the direction of J. Joseph Peters, is performing this piece for the fourth consecutive year in Steuben County, and is proud to bring it to the Furth Center for the Performing Arts.  Tickets are just $5.

Fort Wayne Philharmonic Holiday Pops - 2:00 pm

 Fort Wayne Philharmonic

This year's Holiday Pops will include "Sleigh Ride," "White Christmas," and "'Twas the Night before Christmas." The concert will also feature talented vocalists Fernando Tarango and Renee Gonzales singing other holiday favorites.

The new Philharmonic Assistant Conductor Chia-Hsuan Lin will conduct this regional performance.

From his early days as a sought-after session musician in LA, through the heady days of the Mad Dogs & Englishmen tour and a string of collaborations with a veritable Who's Who of popular music (including a recent stint with Elton John), Leon has never lost his ability to write timeless songs, and brings a wide-ranging set of musical influences into his live performances.
