Aug. 20, 2010--Trine University will host an open house to introduce the public to its new Schererville Education Center on Thursday, Aug. 26 from 5-7 p.m., Central Standard Time, at 746 E. U.S. Highway 30 in Cline Commons.

The spacious and comfortable facility contains the latest technology and higher learning tools, and is easily accessible from major highways for the convenience of northwest Indiana and northeast Illinois students, said campus director Leslie Eldridge.

Working professionals with bachelor degrees can pick up information about Trine’s master degree in leadership, offering tracks in healthcare systems studies, international studies, non-profit organization studies, strategic foresight and entrepreneurship, sustainable business administration or regulatory affairs.

Associate degrees in accounting and business administration will also be available.

Visitors can meet Eldridge, Trine School of Professional Studies Dean David Wood, course instructors and the student services director, familiarize themselves with the facility, receive information and even apply for admission during the open house.

Trine University President Earl D. Brooks II and local government officials and dignitaries will speak during a ribbon-cutting ceremony when the open house commences. For more information, contact Eldridge at 219.440.7180 or eldridgel@trine.edu, or Wood at 260.665.4600 or woodd@trine.edu.
