Trine trustee publishes opinion piece

ANGOLA, Ind.—Trine University is capturing public attention everywhere, including on the opinion pages of regional newspapers.

Trine Trustee Dr. J. Winston Porter’s piece, “We need more work–ready college grads,” was published in the editorial pages of the Sept. 17 edition of the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Dr. Porter is president of Environmental Strategies in Leesburg, Va. Formerly, he was an assistant administrator of the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency. He has published opinion pieces in such noted metropolitan newspapers as the New York Times and Washington Post, as well as in regional newspapers like the Indianapolis Star, Fort Wauyne Journal Gazette, and South Bend Tribune. His environmental expertise has been tapped on C-SPAN and numerous other television networks.
