Thunder football gearing up for Border Brawl
ANGOLA, Ind. – At Trine University, the campus and football team are currently preparing for their annual "Black and Blue Border Brawl" with perennial conference power Adrian College. The Thunder is set to travel to Adrian, Mich., for the MIAA conference matchup and to compete for the Border Brawl trophy, that stays with the winning team each year.
The Thunder, led by Gagliardi candidate and senior quarterback Eric Watt, are 3-0 on the season, having dismantled Manchester College, Bluffton College (Ohio), and Wisconsin-River Falls, in a confident manner. The Thunder are enjoying their highest national ranking of program history, ranked 12th in the nation according to the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll.
