Trine welcomes Pacemate
as new cheer coach

ANGOLA, Ind. – Trine University is welcoming Indiana Pacers Pacemate Shea Chambers as its new head cheerleading, dance and spirit coach.
Chambers has been cheering for over 20 years. She was captain of a Division I college cheerleading squad at Bowling Green State University, before heading to the Pacers organization in 2009.
“We are pleased to welcome Ms. Chambers to Trine University,” said interim athletic director Rob Harmon. “She has a natural ability to lead and develop quality teams, while maintaining her passion for the community.”
Chambers has served as an instructor for the University Cheerleading Association in Dayton, Ohio, where she was responsible for judging competitions, choreographing routines and planning camps. She garnered more leadership while creating choreography and coaching a high school dance team with Midwest Cheer Elite and Cheer Works Sparks. She plans to utilize these same high standards to lead her Trine teams to national success.
“My coaching model includes physical fitness, academics, campus and community involvement, personal development, team cohesiveness and competitive success,” Chambers said. “These six components, along with my experience, will mold the Trine University cheer/dance and spirit teams into a premier organization engaged in a dynamic environment that will prepare them to succeed, lead and serve.”
Chambers earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and is pursuing a master’s degree in public relations at Ball State University.
