Ravellette to lead women's lacrosse at Trine

Jeannine Ravellette will lead Trine University’s women’s lacrosse team this fall, officials announced today.

Ravellette comes to Trine with over nine years of softball coaching experience at the NCAA Division I and Division II levels. She began her collegiate coaching career in the 2002 as an assistant softball coach at Division I Bradley University, then spent five years as an assistant coach at Southeast Missouri State.

Even though her experience has been in collegiate softball, because of her success, athletic director Matt Land believes her knowledge, energy and enthusiasm will be a good fit for Trine’s growing athletic program.

“Good coaches can coach anything,” Land said. “We are excited to have her on board and look for her to recruit talented athletes this year. We believe she will lead the Lady Thunder with great success in this first season for lacrosse in the MIAA.”

Following her stint at Southeast Missouri, Ravellette was an assistant at Division II Ferris State University for over three years. Her main responsibilities off of the field were to oversee recruiting, academics, coordinate travel and administrative matters of the program.

“I look forward to contributing to the athletic department’s expectation for higher achievement and growth,” Ravellette said. “I would like to thank Coach Land for believing in my vision and giving me an opportunity to lead this program to great academic and athletic success.”

Ravellette graduated magna cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa, where she was a four year starter and president of the Student Athletic Advisory Council.
