Trine dedicates Peerless Cleaners Thunder Deck
ANGOLA, Ind. – Trine University honored Steve Grashoff, president of Peerless Cleaners, during a dedication ceremony for the Peerless Cleaners Thunder Deck in Fred Zollner Athletic Stadium Oct. 1.
Peerless Cleaners has served northeastern Indiana since 1915, the oldest full service cleaner in the area.
“Corporate partnerships allow the acceleration of economic growth in the area,” said Trine University president Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D. “We want our students to graduate from this university prepared – prepared to work, prepared to explore and prepared to be pillars of their communities. Their preparedness will drive them to excel in the workplace, create new companies and better serve others.”
Peerless Cleaners has built its reputation on expert service, quality, value and attention to detail. The company has dry cleaning and laundry operations in Fort Wayne, Angola, Auburn, Warsaw, Goshen and Elkhart, with one central cleaning plant, 15 store locations and three home delivery routes.
Grashoff purchased Peerless Cleaners in 2000, after a 27-year career at Scott’s Food Stores. He started working at Scott’s at the age of 16, and nearly three decades later, he served as the vice president of operations where he was responsible for store operations of 22 supermarkets and new store development.
“Steve also wants to give back to the community, and as a result, his involvement with this university is taking off,” said Trine University president Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D. “Not only is he supportive of the continued growth of this institution, more importantly, he has taken a keen interest in our students. We appreciate the time and resources you have afforded this university. You are ensuring that another generation of learners goes out to make a difference in this world. We are forever grateful for your commitment and loyalty.”
