Teaching is a true passion that I am blessed to pursue on a daily basis at Trine. Connecting with the students on a personal level and watching them grow as civil engineers is very rewarding. I hope to prepare the engineers of tomorrow through fun, yet professional instruction. Transportation engineering is my area of expertise with specific interests in traffic behavior, human factor analysis, and highway safety. I also have interests in construction engineering and engineering management.
During my collegiate career at the University of Tennessee, I was very active in numerous clubs including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), and Tau Beta Pi (TBP). I remain active in these organizations and serve as the faculty advisor for ITE and TBP. During the spring semester, you can typically find me assisting the ASCE steel bridge or concrete canoe teams as they prepare for competition.
I enjoy attending Trine sporting events and supporting the student athletes. Away from campus, I like to spend time outdoors: walking, farming, hunting, fishing, and riding four-wheelers.
