Being part of a team focused on helping others has driven my career choices. As Director of Operations at Children’s Hospital, I was part of a great team that focused on raising money to support the important work of caring for underserved children. In my role, I supported the CEO, helped to expand our team from two to 15 employees, cultivated major donors, and oversaw the conversion of three databases. While working for Kaiser Permanente in Northern California, I worked closely with the executives and front-line staff to improve patient satisfaction through trainings, rounding on patients and performance improvement. This led me to performance improvement work at Partnership HealthPlan of California, a managed health care organization managing the medical patients in 14 counties of Northern California. While at Partnership I worked in quality and performance improvement, helping clinics improve their quality scores through the model of improvement.

Moving to Indiana has opened up a new opportunity for me to work as part of a team dedicated to helping students at Trine University's College of Health Professions prepare to follow their dreams of helping others in speech-language pathology and nursing.

When I’m not working, I love baking and have enjoyed starting a small home baking business. I run every day; as of this writing I have run 637 days and 2,141 miles. And I love to spend time with my daughter and grandson. For the last two years I have watched him play football and my daughter and I have gone on some wonderful trips to Michigan and Chicago.
