Recital will feature Trine University music students

NOV. 30 – Trine University’s Department of Music will present its fall Applied Studies Recital on Saturday.

Everyone is invited to attend this free concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 in the Ryan Concert Hall, T. Furth Center for Performing Arts. It will feature voice and piano students performing works by Schubert, Schumann, Durante and others. Contemporary pieces will be presented as well, including an arrangement of a Bruno Mars song.

Students featured in the recital include Elyse Buehrer, a senior from Angola majoring in music; Soraya Colyer-Mohamadi, a sophomore from Coldwater, Mich. majoring in biology and Megan Miller, a sophomore from Angola majoring in music. Additionally, August Buehrer, a junior from Angola majoring in music, will perform an original work, giving everyone a unique opportunity to hear a musical piece composed by a student.
