Trine to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. and Black History Month

Area residents are invited to join Trine University for An Evening of Music during the 24th annual Martin Luther King Jr. and Black History Month Celebration.

Williams-RobbinsDebra Faye Williams-Robbins, high school area administrator for Fort Wayne Community Schools, will be the keynote speaker. The topic of her speech will be “Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges.” This event features performances by the Fort Wayne Pilgrim Baptist Church Young Adult Choir as well as select Trine University students.

The celebration is open to everyone and is scheduled for 7p.m Friday, Feb. 13, in Fabiani Theatre in the Rick L. and Vicki L. James University Center. Refreshments will be served.

The free event is cosponsored by the Multicultural Student Organization, the Office of Student Services and Gamma Phi Epsilon sorority.
