I am originally from the southern tip of Ohio, and had lived there my whole life before moving to Angola in 2005, when I married my husband, Kevin. We live here with our teenage son, Hunter, and our German Shepherd. Our daughter, her husband, and our three grandchildren also live locally and pastor a church here. My favorite time is time spent with my family, doing anything or nothing.    

I have been teaching at Trine since 2007. I am thrilled to be at Trine and have the opportunity to pursue my passion for literacy and education and hopefully make a difference in the lives of people I see each day. I teach Composition and Public Speaking at Trine, and I am also the Senior Faculty Liaison for Dual Enrollment.

In my free time, I love to travel, especially flying, and love reading, watching sports, and learning new things. I spend much of my time watching my son play football, baseball and basketball, and I love it. I hope someday to travel the world and write a book.

I love teaching, but also love how much I learn every day from students as well.   I try to live each day by the motto, “Be the reason someone smiles today!”
