My love of teaching and learning started at a young age. Whether I was teaching my stuffed animals the lessons I learned in class that day, erasing my workbooks so I could do them again over the summer, or grading multiple choice tests for my mom (also a teacher), I've geeked out over education since I was about 5. Since then I've taught in multiple settings, including overseas as a Peace Corps Volunteer, teaching and tutoring after school and volunteer programs to adults and children, volunteer teaching at Oakhill Correctional Institution in Oregon, WI and teaching at high schools and universities across the country. Each class has taught me something new about teaching, about literature and about myself, and I look forward to continuing my educational journey at Trine.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling anywhere, spending time with friends and family, going to local concerts and community events, being active in community outreach, and hanging out with my cats.
