I enjoy challenging students to understand how management principles can be applied to all aspects of our lives to improve people's lives and society. Throughout history, brilliant and creative business people have developed ideas and products that have revolutionized the way people live around the world and raised the standard of living. The future holds great promise and challenge, and students must be well-prepared to succeed in our dynamic global economy.
I have more than 30 years of business management and marketing experience. I have worked in both the private and public sectors. I have been very fortunate to have been able to travel extensively for business and pleasure. I enjoy sharing what I've experienced with Trine students, and learning from them. A highlight of my time at Trine has been taking students to China and Europe to study global business issues and see the students develop confidence in themselves.
My wife, Cathy, is also on the faculty at Trine, serving as Dean of the Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences undergraduate programs. In addition to traveling, Cathy and I enjoy water skiing, cycling, snow skiing and relaxing on the area lakes.
