I come from the wonderful city of Bangalore in southern India. Growing up, I was fascinated by how engineering brings the concepts of science and math together to aid in the creation of everything we use daily. This fascination lead me to pursue mechanical engineering in India.
During the course of my bachelor's degree, I got interested in designing and analyzing mechanical and civil structures. This interest took me to Germany, where I got my master's degree in computational engineering. I traveled extensively in Europe, visiting several countries and appreciating how diverse and amazing the world is.
Later, I moved back to India and worked for an aerospace engineering firm, where I developed structural analysis software for Rolls-Royce. I also spent several months at Rolls-Royce in the UK. I finally moved to cold, windy Wyoming to pursue my Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at the University of Wyoming. As a teaching assistant at UW, I developed a deep passion for teaching. After teaching for an year at Casper college in Wyoming, I started working at Trine University.
During my free time, I try to master several forms of Yoga, learn to play guitar and spend time with my wife and 4-year-old daughter at our home in Fort Wayne.
