Professor Liberatore
My mission is to educate students to become creative, industrious engineers with integrity and be leaders in chemical engineering.
While teaching, research, and service are all central to being an engineering professor, working with others and within teams is paramount. Our unique team drives new discoveries that are primarily shared through publications.
Engineering education: My classroom and educational research employs active and self-directed learning tools, such as student-created problems that reverse engineering of YouTube videos and interactive textbooks for Material and Energy Balances, Thermodynamics, and Spreadsheets.
Rheology: Engineering new materials created or altered by flow. Specifically, our group performs rheology measurements on a range of polymer, colloid, and surfactant systems.
