My journey in the United States started in Kansas. I lived in one of the best college towns, Lawrence, for a couple of years, and obtained my Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Kansas. When I was in graduate school, I found my passion for teaching, and I was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award as a graduate teaching assistant.
Before I joined Trine, I worked as a visiting professor in mechanical engineering at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. During the time of my visit, I taught Intro to Engineering, Engineering Graphics and Design, Engineering Materials, and Mechanics of Materials, in addition to other duties. I attempted to build an electric go-kart with my students, and I converted my Engineering Graphics and Design course into a fun community engagement learning experience for my students.
I joined Trine in 2019 as an assistant professor. I teach classes such as Dynamics, Engineering Materials, and Introduction to Mechatronics. I am passionate about electric cars and battery technology. I hope, one day, my students and I can convert a 1964 Mustang into an electric vehicle.
In my free time, I like to train my body through weightlifting and train my brain through meditation.
