I have been a professor in the McKetta Department of Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering at Trine University since 1984. I began my career teaching in the technology department at Wayne State University in the field of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics from 1980–1984 while completing my Ph.D. dissertation there.
In addition, I have been a consultant for food and agricultural products at ASSAD Co., energy products for Williams International, an aerospace company in Walled Lake, Mich., and polymer testing for Leer Co. in South Bend, Ind.
I am the adviser of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers local chapter, the International Student Association, and the Ski Club here on the Trine campus.
A native of the Middle East country of Iran (formerly known as Persia), I have a love of outdoor activities such as swimming, water skiing and fishing. I enjoy playing tennis and soccer. My wife Rosemarie, a native of the Philippines, and I have three sons, Aaron, Arman and Alexander.
