I am a department chair and a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. My area of interest is robotics, very large-scale integration (VLSI), digital systems, and logic and computer design.

As a native of Nepal, a Himalayan nation with eight of the tallest ten mountains in the world, I developed a love for nature and the outdoors in my youth via trekking and camping. In addition to participating in many outdoor activities, I represented Nepal and my university team in cricket. I am an avid sports fan. From football to basketball, I follow games with keen interest. My wife, Srijana, and I have two children, Vidhi and Tanya.
