As an occupational therapist with over 14 years of experience, I specialize in providing high-quality care to individuals with neurological conditions and complex medical needs. My clinical background spans acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and skilled nursing facilities, working with diverse populations across the lifespan. I hold advanced certifications in stroke rehabilitation (CSRS), brain injury (CBIS), and dementia care (CDP), reflecting my commitment to evidence-based practice and specialized patient care.
Beyond clinical practice, I am dedicated to advancing occupational therapy through education and research. As an associate editor for the Journal of Acute Care Occupational Therapy (JACOT), I contribute by reviewing and editing manuscripts in my areas of expertise. In 2023, I earned my post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree, with a focus on bridging clinical skills into the academic setting. After years of mentoring students as a fieldwork educator and guest lecturer, I transitioned full-time into academia in 2025.
My scholarly interests include functional cognition, neurological rehabilitation, and behavioral health across the lifespan. I strive to make a lasting impact on my clients, students, colleagues, and the broader community.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, reading, playing tennis, and spending quality time with family and friends.
