I received my bachelor's of science in both Biology and Exercise Science with a minor in chemistry at the University of Mount Union (Alliance, Ohio) in 2016. Thereafter, I received my Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) in 2018 from Kettering College (Kettering, Ohio). I began my career as a physician assistant in Fort Wayne working in urgent care and occupational medicine treating a variety of injuries and illnesses including upper respiratory conditions, rashes, burns, orthopedic injuries, and laceration repairs. The same clinic was contracted to provide occupational medicine services where I was responsible for performing pre-employment and sports physicals, as well as worker's compensation injuries. In May 2023, after 4 years in urgent care, I decided to make the transition to assistant professor at the Trine University Physician Assistant Program.
I currently live in New Haven, Indiana with my husband Joel and our one-year-old son Beckham. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me with a coffee in my hand trying to keep up with our very independent and opinionated toddler. Joel and I enjoy being involved in our community and have directed the high school musicals for the last several years in our local hometown. We both sing together in a small chamber choir made up of various members throughout the United States.
It’s truly a privilege to be able to share my clinical experiences and knowledge with eager minds and to help shape the future of healthcare and I’m so grateful to be able to have that opportunity.
