I had early exposure to aquatic organisms through my father's long career in fishery management, which inspired me to pursue a bachelor's degree in aquaculture and later attain a doctoral degree in biological sciences. A portion of my research is centered around exploring the genetic resources of aquatic life to enhance production and contribute to conservation efforts. Furthermore, my scholarly pursuits extend to the refinement of methodologies related to regulating gene expression in fruit flies.

During my leisure hours, I find pleasure in indulging in music, as well as engaging in water and snow skiing alongside my family.

Having played soccer with international students, I also avidly follow the performance of Manchester United in the Premier League.
