I been a faculty member at Trine University since fall of 2017. Prior to this position I was a graduate student at the University of Notre Dame where I received my degree. During my graduate work I specialized in metal catalyzed C-C and C-N bond formations for the synthesis of highly substituted tertiary or quaternary centers. I enjoy teaching general chemistry courses, but my expertise and passion is organic chemistry. I have taught organic chemistry I and II courses and both organic chemistry labs. I enjoy tacking a hard subject for students with enthusiasm and encouragement. I’ve also served as the honors program director since fall of 2022, and I really like meetings and interacting with students from all majors. Outside of the classroom I love playing with my daughter, watching tv, and playing a variety of sports including tennis, golf, and pickleball.
