Kayle Johnson has wanted to work in ministry for most of her college career, and searched for opportunities that would best prepare her for a career in that area. She started out volunteering as a student leader at the Christian Campus House (CCH) on Trine’s campus. As she developed through being a student leader, she was granted a job opportunity to work for CCH as a Student Office Assistant.

"This position allowed me to not only continue to interact with fellow students, but also alumni and supporters," she said. "This position also allowed me to see the operations of a ministry on the administrative end, expanding my previous knowledge about the career I desire."

For the 2020-21 school year, she will transition to the role of Women’s Ministry and Athletic Intern, which will have more of a focus on building relationships. She will work alongside CCH's Women’s Ministry Coordinator and the rest of the staff to learn more about how to build effective, life-changing relationships with other students.

"I will meet one-on-one with students and study the Bible with them, help with women’s ministry events, and spend time with the Women’s Triathlon Team to invest in each of the athletes," she said. "I am excited for this new opportunity and how it will further prepare me for my career!"
