The Jerry L. Allen and Jorja Allen Engineering Scholarship: Thanks to the generosity of Dr. Jerry Allen, a Trine trustee and accomplished engineer, we’re excited to offer this new scholarship to incoming students in the Allen School of Engineering and Computing (ASEC). Every new ASEC student enrolling in Fall 2025 will receive a $2,000 grant toward their tuition — renewable for all four years!

Dream big: Dr. Allen knows what it’s like to dream big. A 1978 mechanical engineering graduate, he transformed his Trine education into an incredible career, earning 11 patents and earning "Best Boss of the Year" and "Entrepreneur of the Year" honors. Now, he’s giving back to help you start your own journey toward a bright future in engineering.

How to Qualify:

  1. Apply to Trine University and get admitted to the Allen School of Engineering and Computing.
  2. Submit your FAFSA by March 1.
