Humanities and Communication Department gives students chance to recognize peers

Trine University’s Humanities and Communication (HAC) department recently announced a new way to recognize and reward student success.

The HAC Student Distinction Award was established to honor a well-rounded and successful member of the HAC department and Trine University. The award recipient should demonstrate teamwork, leadership, valuing of diversity, commitment to academic excellence, dedication to the HAC department, excitement and passion in the classroom, and ethical behavior in and out of the classroom.

This award is open to all students pursuing a major or minor within the HAC department, which includes communication majors, professional writing and English studies majors, humanities minors and communication minors.

Only other students in the HAC program are eligible nominate their peers for this award. Nominations will be accepted through April 10, with the winner announced at the department’s annual honors day celebration.
