This fall, Trine University is adding accounting as a concentration within the Master
of Business Administration degree. It will be in addition to two other concentrations,
finance and management.
Nancy Steigmeyer, dean of graduate school, said, “According to the American Institute
of CPAs, 75 percent of today’s CPAs will be retiring within the next 15 years. Adding
the concentration in accounting will meet the requirements for CPA preparation hours.”
The MBA is a 31-credit-hour degree program that can be accomplished within 12 months.
Full-time students who begin the MBA this fall will finish July 8, 2017. Classes are
available both online and seated at all nine Trine University campuses throughout
Indiana, Michigan and Arizona.
“Our graduate degrees are built to accommodate the working adult. Classes change every
eight weeks to make them accelerated programs,” said Steigmeyer.
Fall semester applications are due Aug. 8 and classes begin Aug. 22. Applications
are free and online at http://trine.edu/adult-studies/degrees/graduate/.
