Students place second in poster competition at ASEE Conference

A team of Trine University students recently placed second in a student poster competition at the ASEE Conference. Their project, ShopBot CNC Router to 3D Printer Conversion team, was sponsored by NSWC Crane and Innovation 1.

Students on this winning team included:

  • Warren Burkhart, a senior from Monroe, Ind., studying design engineering technology
  • Kegan Crafton, a senior from Frankfort, Ind., studying design engineering technology
  • Russell Cooper, a senior from Angola, Ind., studying design engineering technology
  • Sam Margulis, a senior from St. Louis, Mo., studying design engineering technology

Student posters were judged on the quality of their research and their ability to convey their findings to others. The graduate and undergraduate posters, which were submitted by students from programs including Rose-Hulman, Purdue, Western Illinois, Bradley and others, were judged by a team of faculty at the conference.
