Students, faculty, staff thanked for their efforts

Congratulations to Trine University students, faculty and staff for the great news from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Thanks to the efforts of a steering committee and the campus community, Trine has received continued accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission (ncahlc.org). Trine received the good news in December.

After a two-day visit by peer reviewers in September, Trine earned accreditation for a decade, the maximum number of years. Trine has been accredited by the HLC since 1966. Visiting HLC teams certify organizational quality by reviewing institutional policies and procedures and interviewing faculty, staff, students, administrators and the Board of Trustees.

Staff shortages, high patient acuity and increasing complexity of care delivery are besetting our healthcare systems. Nursing education programs are being asked to provide graduates who will step directly into practice - faster, more efficiently and with the ability to cope at an increasingly fast pace with changing environments.
