Power to gas: Trine group’s project seeks to convert excess energy to usable methane

Four Trine University students received scholarships from the Northern Indiana chapter of the American Foundry Society at its Nov. 12 meeting in Warsaw.
Zachary Shepard, a senior from Angola, Indiana, majoring in mechanical engineering, Landon Pearson, a senior from Churubusco, Indiana, majoring in mechanical engineering, Sean Rourke Carroll, a senior from Jackson, Michigan, majoring in mechanical engineering, and Kathleen Jutte, a sophomore from Fort Recovery, Ohio, majoring in design engineering technology, each were chosen based on academic achievement and a demonstrated interest in cast metals.
The meeting included the organization’s Scholarship Night, with scholarships presented through the Foundry Education Foundation.
